It is a digital platform that aims to transform the access of young people and adults, from all walks of life, to learning opportunities that are relevant to their personal and professional success, empowering them for the job market, their personal development and active citizenship.
This platform systematizes learning opportunities for people to develop their interests or learning objectives in a flexible and open way, generating, according to the criteria defined by the learning providers, micro-certificates (open badges) for each learning or list of learnings.
It was created by the international organization Badgecraft and developed for Lisbon by the City Council as part of an international project co-funded by the European Commission.

In 2018, the "Orquestra dos Afetos" (Affect Orchestra ) began at the Alta de Lisboa elementary school, where there are serious socio-urban dysfunctions. It is especially aimed at children aged 4 to 6 and is attended this school year by 160 children, with musical expression classes.
The line-up of the Geração Lisboa Municipal Youth Orchestra varies between 55 and 65 students, from all the different branches of the Lisbon Orchestra.
Aimed at students at all levels of education (from pre-school to secondary school) in Lisbon's public school system, it promotes: non-formal education, with a broad and diversified educational offer, contributing to the formation of aware and informed citizens. Based on four areas - scientific and environmental education, sports education, cultural education and civic education - the program aims to deepen students' knowledge through visits/activities carried out by the program's network partners.
At each visit/activity, pre-school and elementary school students present their School Passport, which is stamped with the date and place visited, leaving them with a record of their journey at the end of the pre-school and elementary school cycle.
Transportation for children, students and teachers is provided, subject to availability, by Lisbon City Council.
